This website is about the Emerging Markets.

We collected the latest statistical data on the world’s most interesting Emerging Markets. Our sample includes BRICs (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and several other developing countries, which could be interesting for marketers and investors.

All reputable economists agree now that the future is in the Emerging Markets. These markets already are the main source of economic growth in the modern world and their role is projected to increase significantly in the next 20 years.

In 2006, according to the IMF World Economic Outlook, the world’s advanced economies in total grew up their real output by 2.5% only, while the real GDP of the emerging market economies increased by strong 7.5%. Emerging economies expanded their share in the world’s aggregated GDP to 48% in 2006 (45% in 2005).

We believe that there is still a lack of understanding of the Emerging Markets. Is the growth of China, India, Russia and others sustainable? What are the main risks? Is there a threat to the economic dominance of developed countries?

This website is a non-commercial project, which aims in answering some of the above questions and providing information and data to all researchers and marketers.

While in the first versions you will find mainly statistic data from reputable external sources such as IMF and World Bank, we plan to expand the project in the future and to add own analytical materials, forecasts and interesting calculations.

Among other Emerging Markets, Russia is our main area of interest. By surfing our website, you should understand Russia’s rankings, its distinctions and similarities to others, as well as the country’s development prospects and risks.

With kind regards,
